Gynecomastia of Klinefelter's Syndrome and Dr. Bermant's Male Chest Sculpture for Teenagers
This 15 year old patient did not like his puffy nipples and big areola/ nipple region. He wanted a more male like appearance. After his breast enlargement started at about 11 years of age, he would not play sports or swim - activities he had enjoyed before. He compensated with extra layers of clothing, thicker clothing, and avoiding chest exposure.
He has been diagnosed with Klinefelter's Syndrome and has been on his testosterone replacement therapy for about 9 months. Under the care of his endocrinologist and testosterone replacement, his enlarged breasts became softer and smaller. However, the size and firmness has been stable for at least 4 months.
