39 year old male lost weight from 187 to 161 pounds. He had abdominal liposuction by another surgeon in Florida. This male patient had been told that liposuction "would tighten the skin" by the other plastic surgeon. The patient did not like the resulting loose skin, hanging skin, skin dimples, and stretched belly. He had dimples that were not there before the liposuction. Skin can shrink after liposuction to a certain degree. How much varies depending on the problem to be treated, technique, and how you heal. Most of the sculpture was done for the loose tissue in the front. The flanks needed some liposuction to help the transition from what was sculpted to what was not.
