Here are paintings of Paul Revere by John Singleton Copley. The left painting was of this famous American as a young man. The right is one of him older.
The eyes and brows have aged. Notice how the tissue has sagged. The brows have descended causing hooding of the upper eyelids. The skin fold is resting on the upper eyelashes. There probably would be difficulty keeping the upper eyelids open with fatigue. The brows in the right painting may be arched in compensation to permit vision. Surgical correction would probably require both a brow lift and upper eyelid blepharoplasty.
The cheeks (malar region) have dropped with age. This deepens the nasolabial folds (lines between the nose and corners of the mouth). The drooping tissues removes the normal prominence over the cheeks. The midface lift (malar or cheek lift) addresses these issues.
The jowls are the tissues about the lower jaw and one of the prominent features of the aging face. Sharp edges of youth are replaced with sagging features. There is extra fat / skin, and the muscles of the neck no longer support the tissues. These features are restored to more youthful proportions with face lift, neck lift, and liposuction surgery. They are all possible elements in a FACELIFT operation.
The nose has lost tip support and also has drooped with age. Rhinoplasty surgery can be used in some cases to restore aged nasal tissues.
