Ear constriction deformity and otoplasty ear plastic surgery photographs in a male patient
Patient concerned that he had pointed ears. There was a flattening and a hooding of the upper part of the helix.
Sculpture: Both ears - double banner flap helix rim reconstruction for Lop Ear
Left ear - posterior flap for extra skin
23 year old male
Location Surgery: Bermant Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center (Office Operating Room)
Anesthesia: Local
This is a moderate case of constricted ear. The superior part of the helix was folded over or constricted. There was an absence of skin on the left side.
These very early results are just after the sutures were removed. Parts of the ears are still swollen as expected. I have shown these photographs to demonstrate how the ears look at this stage. Notice the limited bruising. Swelling after surgery depends on the operation, surgical technique, and how the individual patient heals.

From the front notice the distorted rim before surgery. After otoplasty, the contour is much improved. The crusts early after surgery come off as the tissue heals.

Results of otoplasty ear surgery should be viewed from many angles. That is the best way to evaluate the caliber of results. Take your time to view the different aspects of this ear sculpture. The best results look good from any angle.
