Early after surgery pictures show the surgical sculpture, minimal swelling. For this patient's ears, there were many factors causing the protrusion. The conchal bowls protruded and the anthelical fold was just not adequate. After adjusting these two factors, the ear lobes had to be balanced closer to the head. Correction of each factor is necessary for a pleasing result. Left Photograph: Before Otoplasty |

Before otoplasty the weak anthelix fold and deep concha bowl combined to create severe protrusion of the ears. Blending various otoplasty ear sculpture techniques balanced the ear elements. Photograph: Before Otoplasty |
