Eyelid Reconstruction Cancer of the eyelid has special concerns. The eyelid must still protect the eye itself. Drainage structures must remove the lubricating fluids or the tears will overflow over the cheek. The cancer was removed with Modified Mohs' surgery with frozen section analysis of margins. Once the cancer was removed the defect was repaired with a full thickness skin graft. The cancer did not extend deep enough to involve the tear duct systems located just under this cancer. This thin skin was used because of the close match in color and thickness to the skin of the defect.     Basal Cell Carcinoma Eyelid Tumor before surgery After surgery Smaller eyelid cancer was treated to modified Mohs' surgery and reconstruction with local flap.
