Many patients ask how soon they are going to be able to get out into public after their surgery. These results at eight days show one example. If you look carefully near the eyelids and around the ears, the wounds are early into their healing. The camera, room, and lights are the same in these before and after surgery un-retouched photographs. She had upper and lower eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) and an extended SMAS facelift and neck lift.

Bruising and swelling were minimal in this patient. Notice the difference in the wrinkles and the nasolabial fold between the nose and corners of the mouth.

Even at this early stage, the neck has a more youthful shape after surgery and the facial tissues elevated to a more pleasing position. There is still some swelling that will improve over time. Notice how the incisions around the ears, into the hairline, the eyelids, and under the chin blend into facial features.

There has been no laser treatment nor special skin care performed to achieve the improvement seen. The patient was permitted to have her hair done 4 days after surgery.

Notice how the facial structures were returned to a more youthful position. The cheek prominence is now again over the upper cheek, no longer in the middle. The jowls under the jaw line have been removed. There is now definition to the neck. No upper face work was done on this patient.
