Gynecomastia Surgery after Losing Weight. Pictures before and after weight loss and male chest surgery.
This patient was not happy with his breasts and his weight. He was embarrassed about his large breasts but felt his weight of 190 pounds was not what he wanted. He decided to first lose 57 pounds by dieting and exercise.
The weight loss greatly improved his breasts. However, losing weight did not help with gland and some remaining localized chest fat. Surgery after weight loss was much different than if done before losing weight.
25 year old male- 5 foot 5 inches tall weighed 190 pounds initially and lost weight with dieting and exercise to 133 pounds before surgery

Fat can be a major contribution to the shape of a male chest. Losing weight can make a major change in the problem. After losing weight gland and remaining fat can still be a problem. Gynecomastia chest sculpture can fine tune this remaining problem.

Weight loss can really decrease breast size when there is a large fat component. However, it is difficult to pick where that fat will come from. Gland and some fat will often remain that can be sculpted with Dr. Bermant's small incision techniques.

Male chest contouring is best at a comfortable weight, something the patient is likely to keep. Weight loss and gaining weight are coarse tools. You can't pick where the weight will come from or be added. Surgical contouring is the fine tool. Losing weight before surgery and then putting it back on can be unpredictable.
