Gynecomastia Breast Reduction in a Muscular Man
Patient said he was unhappy with protruding breast masses that had gotten worse with body building. As his muscles got bigger, the deformity by the nipple areola became more noticeable. The gynecomastia interfered with the masculine look he was trying to achieve.
35 year old male
5 feet 7 inches tall weighing 170 pounds

Anesthesia: Tumescent Local with Sedation
Method: Dynamic technique, excision mass, liposuction contouring, and deep tissue sculpture
Muscle building can be good for the body. However, it is not a good solution to hide gynecomastia. Glandular masses can be pushed forward by well developed muscles. As body fat decreases, gynecomastia from gland can also look more prominent.

From the front, you can barely see the distortion before surgery. When the muscles are tightened, the deformity becomes more noticeable. This patient's concerns can easily be seen from the side and posterior oblique views below.

The gynecomastia enlargement before surgery just does not look pleasing. It looks just less natural than the after surgery photographs.

Notice how good the tumescent technique leave the patient so early after surgery. There is very limited bruising and swelling. The incisions are hidden at the lower edge of the areola.
