Photographs of Breast Reduction for the Very Large Male Breast in Teenage Gynecomastia
Patient was unhappy with his very large breasts. He has suffered severe teasing and has been embarrassed to perform activities that might expose his chest. The problem started at about the age of 10. Breast size has stabilized for more than a year. The patient has been evaluated by an endocrinologist who referred the patient for Dr. Bermant's surgical sculpture.

Anesthesia: Tumescent Local with Sedation
Method: Dynamic technique, excision mass, liposuction contouring (400 cc of fat was removed from each breast), and deep tissue sculpture. No skin reduction was performed. This is approaching the limits of what fat and gland can be removed without a skin reduction in male male big breast. Age and quality of skin factor into such decisions. Although these are very early after surgery images, notice the immediate change in contour, breast shape, degree of bruising, and change in size of the areola. Removal of gland and fat tissues from the breast often result in a decrease in the size of a stretched areola and nipple. Tissues will continue to evolve.
