Tissue Removed During Small Incision Internal Male Mastopexy Breast Lift / Reduction
40 year old African American male was embarrassed by the feminine look of his breasts. Since childhood he avoided swimming, certain clothing, and activities that revealed his female like breast contour. He compensated with thicker clothing, extra layers of clothing, avoiding chest exposure, and isolation. He wanted to have a more flat masculine looking pectoral chest. lift his sagging chest ( breast ptosis) and lift his nipples up to a more male position. Location Surgery: Bermant Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center (Office Operating Room)
Anesthesia: Tumescent Local with Sedation
Method: Dynamic technique, excision mass (Right = 7 x 7 x 1.8cm, Left = 7 x 7 x 1.9cm), fat flap sculpture Short Scar Internal Male Mastopexy Breast Lift using superficial fascia suspension system (SFS), and liposuction contouring (625cc fat removed in addition to the excision specimens).
Very early pictures only 11 days after internal male mastopexy breast lift. Loose skin has already tightened substantially, but continued to tighten after these early photographs.
His drooping breast tissues resulted in his areola / nipples located below his pectoral muscles, but not quite at the lowest part of the breast (Second Degree Breast Ptosis). Reduction without lift could have looked very strange. Dr. Bermant's short scar internal breast lift helped bring the areola / nipple above the lower edge of the pectoral muscles and a much more natural looking male chest. The chest has taken on a male contour instead of the female look before surgery. All of this was done through a tiny skin incision!
