Gynecomastia and Weight Loss - Breast Lift and Reduction for Drooping Chest
20 year old Hispanic male did not like his low nipples, loose skin, and drooping chest after losing 60 pounds. He lost weight from 250 pounds to 190 pounds through dieting and exercise and felt much better at that lower weight. He did not like his areola size and hanging breast tissue. His gynecomastia had started when he was10 years old. He dealt with his problem by losing weight, wearing thicker clothing, extra layers, and avoiding chest exposure. He wanted to avoid larger scars if possible and have a flatter chest with smaller nipples.
Very early pictures only 8 days after short scar internal male mastopexy breast lift / reduction. Skin has already tightened a great deal. Over time the tissue will typically tighten much more.
Stretched skin only recovers so much after losing weight. Men tend to add fat in the chest and stomach areas first. Weight loss can result in chest drooping, sagging, and hanging tissues that just do not look masculine. The drooping breast tissues resulted This is a Second Degree Breast Ptosis ( areola / nipples located below his pectoral muscles, but not quite at the lowest part of the breast.) Reduction alone would look very strange. Dr. Bermant's short scar internal breast lift helped bring the areola / nipple above the lower edge of the pectoral muscles and a much more natural male chest. The chest has taken on a male contour instead of the female look before surgery. All of this was done through a tiny skin incision!
