- Transgender patients must have a letter from their Mental Health Professional saying:
- "Surgery is the next step in treatment for their Gender Identity Disorder or Breast Hypertrophy"
- and "This patient is psychologically ready for this next step in their therapy."
- Female to Male (FTM) patients are not required to be on any hormone therapy.
- All Female to Male Transgender patients must have a normal baseline mammogram before surgery. For our patients, we are glad to give you an order for this test.
- Patients on hormone therapy will need a medical clearance for their operation.
